Welcome to MARLIN'S SPECIAL INVESTIGATIONS, INC. (MSI). MSI is a Private Investigation Agency located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Established since 1994, MSI offers a wide variety of Investigative Services for Attorneys, Insurance Companies, Businesses and Private Individuals. Although we are located in Cedar Rapids, we are happy to work with clients all over Iowa: Iowa City, Dubuque, Cedar Falls/Waterloo, Bettendorf/Davenport, Des Moines, Ames, Sioux City and other surrounding towns.
Our Investigators are licensed, bonded and Insured. (The State of Iowa requires all Private Investigators be licensed by the Iowa Department of Public Safety). All reports and correspondance with the client are kept confidential. The initial consultation is free so please call to see if we can assist you. Over a thousand cases have been worked over the years, providing the necessary knowledge and experience to work successfully in a multitude of situations with various degrees of difficulty. State-of-the-art video, camera and computer resources are used to meet most investigative requirements. Our video documentation can be provided to you on either VHS or DVD format and digital photographs can be printed out, or placed on CD. Our investigators have testified on numerous cases over the years and can testify for your case if needed. Jeff Marlin, a former police officer is owner of MSI and has 14 years of investigative experience. Mike Marlin, a retired Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Special Agent has over 36 years of investigative experience.
